The Bachelor's course aims to train graduated Biomedical Laboratory Technicians who, pursuant to the Italian D.M. 745 of 26.09.1994 and of Law 10.08.2000 n 251 Art. 3 Paragraph 1, are competent to carry out the technical procedures necessary for the execution of diagnostic methods on biological materials with professional autonomy.

Graduates must carry out analytical and research activities relating to biomedical and biotechnological analyses and in particular Clinical Biochemistry, Microbiology and Virology, Pharmacotoxicology, Immunology, Clinical Pathology, Hematology, Cytology and Histopathology.

Biomedical Laboratory Technicians graduates must be able to carry out their services with technical-professional autonomy in direct collaboration with the graduated laboratory staff responsible for the various operational responsibilities to which they belong; they must be responsible, in the laboratory structures, for the correct fulfillment of the analytical procedures and their work in application of the work protocols defined by the managers in charge; verify the correspondence of the services provided to indicators and standards predefined by the Head of the Structure; they must check the correct functioning of the equipment used and provide for routine maintenance and the eventual elimination of minor problems; participate in the planning and organization of work within the structure in which they operate; they can carry out their activity in Public and Private Structures authorized according to current legislation, contribute to the training of support staff and directly contribute to updating their professional profile and research programs.

These objectives are pursued through theoretical / practical training organized with lectures and internship activities under the guidance of tutors belonging to the professional profile.
